Linda was born and raised in a small rural community in Southern Alberta. She has a strong work ethic and firm convictions, valuing honesty, integrity and accountability. Linda strives to provide vital insight into the benefits of accurate financial information and tax implications of everyday decisions. Through collaboration with other industry professionals, Linda will ensure that her clients reach their goals and achieve success quickly and efficiently.
Linda obtained her Chartered Professional Accounting (CPA) designation in 2006 after receiving her Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Lethbridge. Linda has also completed the In-depth Tax program through CPA Canada in 2017 adding depth to her tax knowledge and ability to serve her clients.
In 2020, Linda started LMSPC in partnership with Carla McCallum. Her 10+ years of experience and diverse client base lends to her ability to provide knowledgeable advice to clients of various industries. She particularly enjoys the challenges in agriculture, dealerships, development and leasing. Her clients would describe her as funny, hardworking, and above all else, trustworthy.
Linda along with her husband and two children, lead an active lifestyle with both children involved in school and club sports, while Linda enjoys golfing, salmon fishing, hiking, travelling and being outdoors with her family and friends.
Born and raised on a farm in Lomond, Alberta, Carla is passionate about helping people. Having worked in both industry and public accounting, she brings over 15 years experience with accounting and tax. Carla believes that building connections is a necessity to resolving her clients’ objectives.
Carla obtained her Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation in 2006 after receiving her Bachelor of Management degree at the University of Lethbridge. She worked at Myers Norris Penny from 2003 to 2009 when she decided to take on a new challenge and work in private industry. From 2010 to 2020, Carla worked as a Controller for local oil and gas related companies. In 2020, Carla took the opportunity to come back to private practice and assist Linda Simpson in the creation of LMSPC. Her clients would describe her as dedicated, knowledgeable and trustworthy.
In her downtime, Carla is busy chasing her daughter around the hockey rink and working on their acreage. She has found a love of hiking, going hand in hand with her love for being outdoors and spending time with her friends and family.
Originally from Moose Jaw, SK, at the age of five, Justin and his family moved to the Brooks region where he grew up and played competitive soccer. Justin has always had a strong desire to be of good service and leans into that value when it comes to working with his clients.
Justin received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta before graduating from the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) program in 2017. He has an array of experience from working for JMH in Edmonton while he was obtaining his designation, to working with Bevan and Partners and JMH in Brooks. Justin’s desire to continually feed his professional growth along with LMSPC’s local and community focused atmosphere, led him to joining the firm in 2022 and is now the third partner in the firm. Justin works closely with Linda and Carla, tackling complex accounting needs and finding the best ways he can serve his clients. Justin's clients would describe him as knowledgeable, resourceful and honest.
Justin and his wife Cassie have a busy household with three kids: twins (a boy and girl) and their little sister. Justin’s favorite pastimes are going on family bike rides, walks, and trips to either the beach or Dinosaur Provincial Park. When he is not working, or spending time with his family, Justin can be found out on the golf course, running, volunteering, refereeing basketball, and serving on local boards.
